Loki Laufeyson, the Norse god of mischief, and unquestionably my favorite character in "Thor" (2011) and "The Avengers" (2012) - with some art nouveau influence thrown in.

for talking me into making this (not that it would have taken much effort, hurr). I made this while listening to an obscene amount of Sabaton thanks to my friend Jamie (go check out "Twilight of The Thunder God", seriously you guys).
And I also have to thank

for equally screeching over Tom Hiddleston with me and not reporting me to the authorities for being a creep over how many reference pictures I needed to make this thing.

Lastly, the runic alphabet used is the Elder Futhark ([link]) which is the oldest of the runic alphabets used by Germanic and Scandinavian tribes.
